Overview

The new improved Temperature/Humidity node has arrived!

Features

  • Runs on CR2032 Battery
  • Current in shutdown mode: 0.65µA
  • ZigBee ETRX357 Module
  • VCC range 2.4V to 3.6V
  • 2 Interrupt IO’s + 2 GPIOs + UART
  • SHT30-ARP Sensor
  • Light Sensor APDS-9005
  • 1 Analog input (14 bits ADC)
  • REED switch

Temperature/Humidity Sensor

The board has an onboard SHT30-ARP analog temperature & humidity sensor.

  • Fully calibrated, linearized, and temperature compensated analog output
  • 10% to 90% ratiometric analog voltage output
  • Typical accuracy of 2%RH and 0.3°C
  • Tiny 8-Pin DFN package

Power consumption

The unit consumes about 0.65µA (or 1.95µW) in sleep state. It should be able to run for at least 2 years, when sending data every minute.

Validation

Tested and verified

  • SHT30ARP
  • ZigBee

ToDo

  • Light Sensor

Hardware

The schematic and board files are made in Altium CircuitMaker.
At commands can be sent trough the UART and it can be re flashed with new firmware as well through the same UART.

Reflash the Zigbee procedure

  • Power off the device
  • Connect the BOOT pin to ground
  • Power up the device
  • Connect the serial with default settings and baudrate 115200
  • Send an ENTER command 1 or 2 times until you see the list of actions
  • Hit ‘1’ to upload new firmware

Send AT commands to device

  • Power up the device (make sure BOOT pin is left floating)
  • Connect the serial with default settings and baudrate 19200
  • Send AT commands

Dimensions

The size of the PCB is 30.73mm x 23.24mm

Pin Assignment

  • Light Sensor is powered through PC2
  • Temperature/Humidity sensor is powered through PA4
  • Max 3.3VDC on all pins
  • REED Switch is connected to IRQ2
